1. What is a lace front wig?
A lace front wig is a hair replacement unit with Swiss or French lacing from ear to ear. The cap is cut very close to look extremely natural as if the hair is growing out of the scalp and from the forehead.

2. Who should wear the lace fronts?
Anyone looking to change their look, clients with alopecia areata, severe burns, radiation, hereditary balding or chemotherapy clients (some insurances will help pay for this service).

3. Do I have to take it off every night?
No, you can wear these units from 1 day up to 5 weeks without ever taking it off! If well maintained you can remove, shampoo the unit and your scalp/hair and replace for continued use for years. This all depends on the adhesives used and your maintenance.

4. How long can I wear my lace front?
Lace fronts/full lace units can last a few years (if maintained well).

5. Are lace fronts only for women?
No, men can have them fitted also.

6. What is a French top?
A French top is a skin color material, in which the hair gets knotted underneath, so that it looks like the hair is sprouting out of your own scalp.

7. Can these wigs be parted on either side?
All our wigs are multi-directional. You can part them however you prefer left, right, center, etc.

8. What is the difference between lace fronts and full lace units?
Lace fronts have lace form ear-to-ear. The rest of the unit is strech lace or monofilament. Some units have thin skin at the nape to be attached.

Full lace wigs are all lace. Custom units are made with fine Swiss/French lace throughout. This will allow you to have full head and perimeter bonding

9. Are there any refunds/exchanges?
No, all sales are final these units are custom designed and fitted per clients request. Absolutely no refunds/exchanges due to strict health regulations.

10. How would I receive my package?
You will receive your order by UPS, United Post Office or Fed Ex. All orders usually ship within 24 hours shipping time in the USA usually takes between 3-5 business days. Custom fit, styling, etc., will each delay the shipping day another 2-5 days.

11. What if my wig does not fit properly after it has been custom fitted?
Custom fit can be altered, if the wig does not fit perfectly. It has not been adjusted properly, then our company will resize it at no additional charge. If however, your measurements were not done correctly, the regular $30 fee applies for the adjustment and any shipping charges.

12. Can I make payments?
Yes, we offer a layaway plan. 50% down payment required. Remaining balance will be paid in 2 separate payments within 60 days.

13. Should I cut the lace?
The shorter the lace the shorter the life span of the wig. With good application when applying the lace to your forehead is that the lace simply disappears creates an illusion of hair growing directly from the scalp. When you receive your wig and you find that the lace is too long, (if it is touching your eyebrow), then of course we recommend trimming it slightly. But cut on the curve as you do not want to disrupt the cross tension which ensures a proper fit.

14. With lace front wigs is it possible to wear the hair off the face i.e. comb it back in a pony tail or half up and half down?
Yes, it is possible to wear the hair off the face, i.e. comb it back into a pony tail. It can be drawn back into a low pony tail, higher if you choose to have the thin skin or extended french/swiss lace at the nape and apply adhesive to hold the wig to the nape. The hair can be pulled back away from the face or you can choose to wear the hair half up and down.

15. The weather is very hot in our location, will my lace front stay on my head?
This wig is made and manufactured in Asia and India where temperatures can rise above 100 Fahrenheit! Our clients are all over the world in many extreme temparatures. With the right application your lace front wig will not be affected by the temperature and will remain in place. Lace front wigs are lighter than standard wigs.

16. Where is the best place to start releasing your lace front when removing it?
Starting at the front left or right temple; peel up the edge and remove it like you would a large bandage.

17. How do I avoid pulling hair out of my lace front unit while removing it?
You must completely release the adhesive or tape from bonding to your scalp before attempting to remove your unit. Remove with a lace release remover. It may not solve the problem 100%.

18. How do I style my own hair underneath the lace front wig?

You have a few styling options dependent on the length of your hair:

  • wig stocking for everyone regardless of length and texture of hair will give a flat apperance to your head shape and secure your hair in place;
  • cornrows braided from front to back of nape;
  • cornrows braided into a beehive;
  • hair slicked back with gel and then length pinned up against scalp;
  • French braid then plaited length pinned up against scalp and
  • pony tail and ends pinned up securely.

19. Where does the hair come from?
Donor through Indian temples or Asian donors.

20. Can I wash and set my wig myself?
Absoutely, this is your wig, style as you would your own hair. Some hairstyles will actually last longer on your wig such as curls using masterpiece setting lotion or mousse. Use only recommeded products for your unit such as Brandywine wig care products. Excessive alcohol in a product can cause damage to your unit.

21. What are the adhesive and tapes that I need to use on my wig?
There are various adhesives (glue) or tapes suitable of being used on human skn for securing your lace front wig on the market. The most popular brands are misty tight, tight grip, spirit gum or various medical grade double sided tapes.

First, try on the wig without applying any form of adhesive. You are determining where your natural hairline should begin with your lace. Do not cut the lace until you have determined how much lace you want to be left. Remember the lace will not be so obvious when adhesive is applied.

Clean the area where you want to tack down the lace (usually the temples) of oils and debris from the skin. Always use the liquid adhesive sparingly where you feel appropriate, either the temples, near the center forehead or a thin line across the forehead. Full detail instruction on lace front wig application will be included in all orders.

22. How do I remove a lace front wig without damaging it?
Always proceed gently when removing wigs. Using adhesive remover, dab or spray at the area from the hair side of the lace where the adhesive /tape were placed. Wait for a minute for the adhesive/ tape to soften. After a minute gently pull away from the skin slowly and carefull. Always clean your piece before re-applying by placing on a paper towel and dabbing at the adhesive/ tape to dissolve the glue. Never use anything but approved cleaners for this process.
